There are thought to be approximately 300 pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs) supporting the pharmaceutical industry. Despite increasing merger and acquisition (M&A) activity, the market remains highly fragmented; the top five CDMOs collectively account for just 15% of the market.
